Define android and iPhone:
Android is Linux based Operating System (OS) developed by Google and OHA (Open Handset Alliance); a coalition of hardware, software and telecommunication companies.
Android begin its life as a Palo Alto-based startup company, founded in 2003 which was subsequently acquired by Google in 2005.
While iPhone is machintos based Operating System derived from Mac OS developed and supplied by Apple. It is formally released as iPhone OS in 2008.

¢  Close and Open type system:
In iPhone we cannot use and run tools except developed by apple. But in android it’s all open, we can install and run any tools may or may not be related to Google.
¢  Battery Life:
In iPhone, battery life seems to be good than android but batteries in iPhone can’t be replaced while it can be done easily in android.
¢  Interface:
The Apple screen is larger than most of the android screens, meaning navigation and keyboard typing are easier. Android suggests a number of auto-corrections for misspelled words, while iPhone suggests only once.
¢  Hardware:
The iPhone does not support the addition of an SD card for increased storage, while most Android models do. The Android operating system comes packaged with a wide variety of different hardware. The iPhone is only manufactured by one company, giving users no choice over the number and level of features on their phone.
¢  Applications:
All applications in the Apple Store must go through an Apple approvals process that has been the center of controversy. Android applications need not go through an approvals process.
