Academic achievements after week 5

Since the beginning of my student career I am serious on the matter of learning. So, I try to clutch this type of opportunities which comes in front of me. Among many I have been attracted towards the computing field now which is being an interesting part of my learning. Since, I started studying BSc Computing course in Islington College I have been benefited to approach my goal.
The first five weeks has supported me to understand more about my study on the coming days. The result of this has been started displaying from the end of fifth week. Till this 8th week we have studied some more about our modules. In this post, I am going to express about my academic development after week 5.
In Logic, we studied new topics like: Set Theory, Number bases, Predicate logic, quantifiers and its negation, relations, etc. Although I have already been introduced some of the above topics like Set Theory and Number bases in school as well as higher school level classes. But also some topics were new to me for whom I had to spend more times on solving and practicing them. Overall, the topics of this week were not so easier than that of before.
Problem Solving for IT, we studied to write algorithms, create various charts, etc. As these topics were totally new to men and it was being difficult to understand the contents, so I spend more time on them. During this week we had a test of carrying 30% of our whole module where I failed to do well and I was upset. But there was a practical part from Excel and Access carrying all 70% of marks. So I thought of concentrating on this practical coursework to coup up with the better marks. Aiming to excellent on this I have already started to focus more on this.
Introduction to Programming, in this module we studied about modularization, abstraction, accessing private fields, etc. These topics were bit complicated to understand. Although these topics are very fresh for me practicing on lab and interacting with tutor has made applicable to some extent. Moreover, we were introduced with BlueJ demonstration. With this tool we can overcome easily from the problems seen while writing codes and running program which seems to be so interesting.
At last Study Skills, Personally, this module is most interesting module among all. This module is assists to boost personal development. In this module we were taught about Harvard Referencing, we were told to write reflective writings, Groups were formed for the final presentation and the topics were selected. As our presentation carries 50% marks on how we perform and create the presentation our group along with me planned to do best so we started on this, from the beginning of announcement. From this module, I am being familiar with the ideas of reflective writings as well.
As the weeks passing by the more challenging topics are being faced but anyway it’s proud to be a student of computing. However, there is more to travel in this course, till now I have become to write a simple program and developed some confidence on me.
